Commercial Intruder Alarm Monitoring

Curb criminal behaviour and reduce loss with a police response the moment your intruder alarm system goes off. If that's not peace of mind, who knows what is?

With round-the-clock, rapid emergency response to intruder alarm activations, you’ll enjoy complete control over the security side of things on your premises.

You might not be able to prevent an intrusion from happening, but if you know it’ll be dealt with immediately, you’ll certainly sleep more soundly at night.

No need to be on site or make quick calls at the time; no real need to worry about the security of your premises and your people at all actually.

When break-ins happens, the faster the response, the smaller the loss. So let’s minimise damage and danger to your building and your staff with professionally-installed monitoring and regular maintenance visits.

Your Business Security Specialists Are Here!

You’ve probably landed here today because:

Your insurance provider has told you that you need to have alarm monitoring in place in the event of an activation (i.e. emergency and/or key holder response)

You have recently encountered a break-in and believe had you had alarm monitoring in place it could have alleviated damages, and so wish to have it in place for peace of mind

You have had a new intruder alarm installed, or are due to, and think it would be good as a pre-cautionary measure to add on to your ongoing servicing procedures

You realise the benefits of having monitoring, and already have it for your fire alarm, so decide it makes sense to cover both and have your building protected in all eventualities when left unmanned

WFP Fire & Security offer good support and have a wide range of extensive knowledge about all products to suit the needs of a business. They have a quick response time to all queries and the call-out time is fantastic.

The 4 Steps to Getting Your Intruder Alarm Monitored:

With intruder alarm monitoring set up, you’re much more likely to have an insurance claim accepted should you ever need to make one.

With our simple 4-step process, we’ll get your monitoring up-and-running in no time! Check out what’s involved below:

1

Bespoke Set-Up We’ll set up the monitoring response to suit your needs (which can be changed at any time) so that the Police and/or nominated key holders are alerted in the event of an activation.

2

Get It In: Following our brief, any surveys and consultations with you, we’ll install a fire alarm monitoring device inside your new fire alarm panel (or your existing one if you’re moving to us for servicing).

3

Ongoing Servicing: We’ll check the integrity of your monitoring connection every time we come out to service your intruder alarm, but are always on stand-by should you need us.

4

Get Alerted: If a break-in happens, you’ll have an immediate response set up. We’ll be notified so we can work with you and the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to work on any false alarms.

Intruder Alarm Monitoring Explained:

It might sound complicated but the concept behind intruder alarm monitoring is really very simple. We create a signal connection between your alarm and an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The alarm goes off? The centre receives a signal. What happens next is up to you.

If you’ve opted to have the emergency services called, they’ll receive notification of a break-in straight away via the ARC and they’ll arrive shortly after, blue lights flashing. Of course, you can choose to notify key holders only, or both if you prefer.

As you can imagine, most commercial buildings do have burglar alarms installed, but many still get broken into. While an alarm system is at least one form of deterrent, it’s only when it’s paired with something like monitoring that it becomes a really dynamic level of protection.

The most popular brands in the monitoring market are CSL Dualcom, Emizon and Redcare (BT), but whatever you opt for, you’ll want it to be “dual path”.

Dual path monitoring means that two channels are used to communicate a signal. It’s the only way to 100% guarantee that the system will alert the Police and/or your designated key holder(s) instantly – and that’s exactly why we use it for all WFP monitoring.

CSL Dualcom Monitoring

This is what your monitoring device looks like, but you don't see this as it sits within the gubbins of your alarm panel...it communicates via the Internet to your Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), who then act accordingly when an activation happens, either by notifying the Police and/or your designated key holder
