We’re looking for a new technical sales superstar to take charge of bringing new installations on board here at WFP.

Your Role in Brief:

Full-time: Mon-Fri, 08:00-17:00

Salary: £70k (OTE)

Permanent role, starting as soon as you can

Based in Stock, Essex (when you're not at site visits)

You'll Be Responsible For:

Managing installations from enquiry to sale (before handing over to project management), ranging from £1k-£100k+

Attending site surveys and acquiring specifications, risk assessments and floor plans to assist you with designing and quoting for alarm system installations

Ensuring quotations are compatible with the relevant standards and regulations in force at the time; are accurately costed according to supplier costs; and meeting company brand protocols as well as desired margin outcomes

Responding to organic, in-bound leads and conducting your own prospecting to generate new installation opportunities

Liaising with other team members where applicable, such as the Compliance Advisor for a maintenance handover and Project Manager for installation logistical guidance, ensuring smooth-sailing post-sale

Staying up-to-date with relevant news, trends, technology and standards within the fire, security and electrical sectors

Reporting to the Head of Communications and assisting the wider team where necessary to ensure a smooth sailing customer experience throughout

Creating relationship-building meetings with suppliers, manufacturers and partner companies

Gathering, evaluating and informing on customer feedback

And smashing those targets, of course!

We're Looking For:

A reliable, honest and professional attitude which is reflective of the WFP ethos and the reason why our customers trust us

At least 3 years' experience in fire and/or security alarm system design

As driving to customers for site surveys and meetings is a big part of this role, a full UK driving licence is required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, as building relationships and focusing on customer service is key

Working knowledge of the EN and BS standards relating to intruder, fire, CCTV, access control and other relevant disciplines

Experience working with End Users within the commercial sector and/or M&E Contractors

Knowledge and experience of creating/working with floor plans, by hand and/or by Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Good objection handling skills and a laser focus on results

A keen interest in the health and safety, fire safety and security sectors

Brilliant organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines

Experience working with Microsoft Office (primarily Work, Outlook and Excel), service/business management software and/or CRMs

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

Health and Safety/FIA/other relevant certificates or cards which demonstrate your knowledge and experience

Previous experience in a technical role, such as engineering, which will aid you in the logistics of how installations work and the allowances you should make when designing/quoting

Previous experience in a sales/customer-facing/customer service environment
