But it’s not just any role, it’s a position that we’ve just established and we’re looking for the right person to make it their own.

The role is an Internal Small Works Estimator, and the salary range is £25k-£45k, depending on experience.

Your Role in Brief:
Permanent role
Full-time: Mon-Fri, 08:00-17:00
Salary: £25k-£32k (Depending on Experience)

Our engineers work on a variety of systems, including: Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, Door Entry Systems, Access Control, Smoke Vents, Emergency Voice Communication Systems, Disabled Refuge Alarms and Automated Gates.

Your Career Ladder:
Your engineering career path will level up according to your technical abilities, level of support needed and your team leadership amongst the engineering team.
Ideally, for this role, we are looking for a Grade 4 Level Engineer and above, however we are always open to bringing on and nurturing new team members who are ambitious and have a great attitude.

Grade 6: Technical Team Leader
Should be able to confidently carry out any of the tasks required in Grade 1 up to Grade 5
Have the ability to resolve more difficult and unusual problems autonomously
Act as a Team Leader on projects, reporting to and supporting the Project Manager
Oversee the workmanship of others and help improve quality standards through on-site auditing
Offer support to the wider team, such as the Service Desk, to advise on the components and logistics needed for quotations
Grade 5: Commissioning Engineer
In addition to abilities honed in Grades 1 to 4, you should be able to fully commission a system from new and existing
Have elaborate understanding of the relevant standards and how to identify less common design queries
Be fully up-to-speed with products we use and have the ability to work on less common products through manuals and support
Offer support to your fellow engineers and be a point of contact for either customers or the wider team on technical questions
Grade 4: System Technician
In addition to abilities honed in Grades 1 to 3, you should be able to perform fault-finding tasks with minimal support
Modify existing systems with written and verbal instructions
Grade 3: Installation Engineer
With the skills of Grades 1 and 2 under your belt, you will be able to carry out the installation of systems, following drawings, design proposals and verbal instructions
Grade 2: Maintenance Engineer
Having completed Grade 1, you will be able to perform maintenance on fire and security products we service
Be able to respond to a reactive fault and resolve common defects, with or without support
Communicate with ease and confidence with our customers on-site
Grade 1: Trainee Engineer
Collect information for tasks to be carried out and resource data sheets on products being used
Obtain a full understanding of equipment used through manuals and processes
Document key points of information to allow personal development
Ideally, You Will Have:
Ambition to level up your career and add value to your team
3+ years of experience in fire and/or security engineering
Demonstrated experience and confidence facing customers
A valid UK driving licence (as you'll be driving around a lot!)
Relevant certificates or qualifications to demonstrate your skills
