  • Risk Assessments Explained:

    A fire risk assessment is a statutory evaluation which assesses the building environment’s hazards, the likelihood of a fire occurring and the likely outcome of a fire occurring depending on the precautionary products and services put in place.

    The reality of not carrying out a fire risk assessment is that you could be fined and/or jailed for non-compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Not to mention you’d be putting your building, staff and yourself at unnecessary risk by not checking that the infrastructure you have in place can minimise the loss and damage in the event of a fire.

    Fire brigades have been carrying out spot-checks across the UK for some time now, and there have been more prohibition orders and prosecutions due to non-compliance.
